Stratum3
Stratum3 is a Modal Jazz Improvisational Trio, which is inspired by the modal jazz sound era of John Coltrane, Archie Shepp & Miles Davis, as well as the newest Nordic jazz avant-garde scene.
In geometry 3 points define a layer – in the same manner the three members of the group define their unique sound layer (Stratum in Latin means “layer”).
Stratum3 are: Panagiotis Christofis on tenor and soprano saxophone, Alexios Antonopoulos on drums and Tolis Metzidakis on bass.
